China–Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC) ,Belt & Road Initiative (BRF)

China–Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC) One Belt and One Road Initiative (OBOR), 


China Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC),  (  پاكستان-چین اقتصادی راہداری  )    (中国-巴基斯坦经济走 ‎), It’s economic corridor proposed by Chinese Premier Li Keqiang during a visit to Pakistan on 22 May 2013. China Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC) is a collection of infrastructural projects which is ongoing currently in Pakistan with a net worth of $46 million but later it has been increased to $62 million by adding additional infrastructural initiatives to the project. Its economics initiative which starts from Khunjareb (Gilgit Baltistan) pass to Gwadar port by opening horizons to Gulf countries.

This is One Belt and Road Initiative (OBOR) which aims to get a route to the Middle East , Africa and Gulf Countries from Gwadar port and access to hot water. CPEC will be Game-changer in region to strengthen economy of Pakistan in the region

China Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC) will introduce modernization of transportation in Pakistan by building railways tracks and update and upgrade the existing one, Highways, Motorways updating and upgrading of Karakoram National Highway(Highway between Gilgit Baltistan and Rawalpindi which is life for CPEC). A Motorway between Karachi to Lahore which is 1100km in length as part of this project.

Projects in Gwadar Port and City


1) Gwadar Port Complex: On 10 April 2016, Zhang Baozhong, chairman of China Overseas Port Holding Company said in a conversation with The Washington Post that his company planned to spend $4.5 billion on roads, power, hotels and other infrastructure for the industrial zone as well as other projects in Gwadar city.

2) Projects in Gwadar city: China will spend no return of $230 for Gwadar International Airport on 400 Acres of land suppose to be provided the government of Baluchistan. Moreover constructions of hospitals and Highways along with setup of powerhouses for electricity.

3) Karakoram Highway: The improvisation repairing and extension of the road and construct new roads between Skardu and Gilgit city and so on.

4) Railway Projects: Introduction of Railway track from Khunjareeb to China and much more within Pakistan.

5) Energy sector projects



Many international mass media and enemies of CPEC replied in extreme rude manner and said it’s passing through an internationally disputed area( Gilgit Baltistan) and so CPEC is violating international laws and also United Nation Articles. United state of America, Afghanistan, and India criticized it in harsh words because it’s resulting in strengthening the economy of Pakistan 50 times more and also help China to excel its economy. China and Pakistan rejected the claims by above countries in more harsh words.
